Possible Causes
Dirty or damaged floating valve seal, Valve pin stuck due to dried food, Insufficient liquid preventing steam buildup, Steam release valve left open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Check liquid and settings: Ensure enough water is in the pot and the steam release valve is set to closed.
- Clean floating valve: After cooling and depressurizing, remove the floating valve (if removable) and its silicone seal. Clean thoroughly and reassemble.
- Replace seal: If the small silicone ring is cracked or hardened, replace it.
If the valve still does not rise despite proper cleaning and liquid, there may be a larger leak at the lid gasket or valve assembly.
