Possible Causes
Warped inner pot flexing on heating plate, Foreign object between pot and plate, Loose mounting screws on heating plate, Thermal expansion of components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the cooker if noises are very loud or accompanied by burning smell.
Steps:
- Inspect contact surfaces: Remove the pot and check for grains, utensils, or debris on the heating plate. Clean thoroughly.
- Check pot bottom: Place the pot on a flat surface to see if it rocks. Replace if warped.
- Light clicking: Occasional soft clicks from relays or metal expansion can be normal. Continuous loud metallic sounds are not.
If noise persists with a clean, flat pot, internal components may be loose and should be inspected by a technician.
