Possible Causes
Overfilled inner pot causing boil-over into base, Cracked inner pot, Damaged inner lid or condensation collector overflowing, Seal around heating plate compromised
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker immediately. Do not operate with liquid inside the base.
Steps:
- Remove inner pot: Take out the pot and inspect for cracks or pinholes, especially on non-stick Moulinex bowls.
- Dry the base: Carefully tilt the cooker (unplugged) to drain any trapped liquid. Wipe the heating plate and interior with a dry cloth. Allow to air-dry for 24 hours.
- Check condensation collector: Empty and clean the rear condensation cup or channel if your model has one.
- Avoid overfilling: Keep food below the MAX line and be cautious with foaming foods.
If leakage continues with a sound pot and correct fill level, an internal seal may be compromised and requires professional service.
