E7 appears and the cooker will not enter or maintain pressure; may beep repeatedly and cancel the program.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If E7 appears during cooking, unplug the unit and allow it to depressurize naturally. Do not force the lid open.
- Inspect and clean pressure components: Once fully depressurized and cool, remove the steam release valve, anti-block shield, and float valve. Clean all parts thoroughly, removing any food, starch, or mineral deposits. Ensure the float valve moves freely up and down.
- Check sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid, wash it, and inspect for deformation, cracks, or food trapped in the groove. Reinstall it evenly and firmly.
- Verify correct valve position: Ensure the steam release valve is set to the correct position for pressure cooking (usually "Seal" or similar). An incorrect position can confuse pressure readings.
- Test with water only: Add 2–3 cups of water, close the lid, set the valve to seal, and run a short pressure program. Observe whether the float rises and if E7 reoccurs.
- Sensor/board issues: If all mechanical parts are clean and moving freely but E7 persists, the pressure sensor or control board may be faulty and require replacement.
Warning: Never attempt to defeat or block the safety valves to avoid E7. This can create a dangerous overpressure condition.
