Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in inner pot, Damaged or improperly seated silicone sealing ring, Steam release valve left in venting position, Leaking float valve or gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and depressurized before removing the lid.
- Check liquid level: Confirm that you have at least the minimum required liquid for pressure cooking. Add more if necessary.
- Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring, clean it and the lid groove, and reinstall it evenly. Replace the ring if it is stretched, cracked, or hardened.
- Set valve to seal: Make sure the steam release valve is in the correct sealing position for pressure cooking.
- Clean float valve: Remove the float valve (if removable), clean its channel, and inspect the small silicone gasket for wear. Replace the gasket if it no longer seals tightly.
- Test with water only: Run a short pressure cycle with just water to verify that pressure can be achieved and maintained.
Warning: Do not cover or block the steam release valve to force pressure; this is unsafe and can damage the cooker.
