Possible Causes
Shorted heating element to chassis, Pinched or damaged internal wiring harness, Moisture inside base contacting live parts, Failed triac or power component shorted on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset the breaker. Unplug the cooker immediately.
- Dry the unit: If the cooker was recently washed or exposed to spills, allow it to dry for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry place.
- Inspect cord and plug: Check for visible damage or burn marks. Replace the cord if compromised.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and look for pinched wires, exposed conductors, or signs of arcing. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
- Test heating element to ground: With a multimeter, check resistance between each element terminal and the metal chassis. A low reading indicates a ground fault and the element must be replaced.
- Board faults: If wiring and element are good, a shorted triac or component on the control board is likely; replace the board.
Warning: Ground faults are serious safety hazards. If you are not experienced with electrical testing, seek professional service.
