Possible Causes
Steam release valve blocked, Anti-clog cap obstructed, Pressure sensor reading inconsistent during venting, Debris in exhaust path
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from the steam vent. Allow the unit to fully depressurize and cool before disassembly.
- Verify full pressure release: Ensure the float valve has dropped and no steam is escaping before opening the lid.
- Clean vent path: Remove the steam release valve cap and anti-clog cap. Soak them in warm soapy water, scrub gently, rinse, and dry completely.
- Inspect vent hole: Check the metal vent hole in the lid for starch or food buildup. Clear gently with a non-metallic tool.
- Run a water test: After reassembly, run a short pressure cycle with water only and observe the release. If E13 recurs, the pressure sensor or control logic may be malfunctioning.
