Possible Causes
Worn membrane contacts, Grease or liquid under keypad overlay, Loose keypad connector, Cracked control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before working on the control panel.
- Clean surface: Wipe the keypad area with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent to remove grease. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel.
- Inspect for spills: If liquid has entered around the buttons, the membrane may be contaminated. The panel may need to be opened and dried or replaced.
- Check connector: Ensure the keypad ribbon cable is fully inserted into the main PCB connector.
- Replace keypad: If only certain buttons fail consistently, the membrane is likely worn and the control panel assembly should be replaced.
