Possible Causes

Burnt-out main heating element, Disconnected heating element terminals, Thermal fuse blown on heating plate, Broken solder joint on PCB heater relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and wait until it is completely cool before opening the base.

  • Access heating plate: Remove the bottom cover to expose the heating plate assembly and wiring.
  • Check heater connections: Inspect the two main heater terminals for loose or burnt connectors. Tighten or replace spade terminals if they are loose or discolored.
  • Inspect thermal fuse: Many OBH Nordica multicookers have a thermal fuse attached to the heating plate wiring. If it appears burnt or open (test with a multimeter if available), it must be replaced with the same rating.
  • Look for burnt spots: If the heating element ring on the plate shows visible burn-through or cracking, the entire heating plate assembly should be replaced.
  • Test after repair: Reassemble, add water to the inner pot, and run a simple cooking program. If E10 persists, the main PCB heater relay or control circuit may be faulty.

Warning: Heating circuits carry mains voltage. If you are not comfortable working with electrical components, contact a professional technician.
