Possible Causes
Damaged silicone lid gasket, Steam release valve not fully closed, Leaking float valve seal, Cracked lid or deformed inner lid plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize fully before opening the lid.
- Inspect lid gasket: Remove the large silicone sealing ring from the lid. Check for cracks, hardening, or deformation. Clean it with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly, and reinstall, ensuring it is seated evenly in the groove.
- Check steam release position: Ensure the steam release knob is set to the sealing position for pressure cooking. Clean any residue that might prevent it from closing fully.
- Examine float valve: Remove the float valve pin and silicone cap (if accessible). Clean both parts and the valve channel. Replace the silicone cap if it is worn or cracked.
- Look for lid damage: Inspect the stainless inner lid plate and outer lid for warping or cracks that could cause leaks.
- Test with water: Run a pressure cycle with only water. Watch for continuous steam escaping from the lid area. If E13 returns, the gasket or valve assembly likely needs replacement.
Warning: Never attempt to hold the lid down manually to force pressure; this is extremely dangerous.
