Possible Causes
Mis-calibrated bottom NTC sensor, Firmware error, Poor thermal contact between sensor and heating plate, Replaced sensor with incorrect specification
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool before working on the base.
- Check sensor mounting: Remove the bottom cover and locate the NTC sensor on the heating plate. Ensure it is firmly attached and making good contact with the metal surface (often via a clip or thermal paste).
- Inspect for modifications: If the sensor was previously replaced, verify that the part number matches the original OBH Nordica specification. Incorrect resistance values can trigger E14.
- Clean contact area: If there is grease or debris between the sensor and plate, clean it and reattach the sensor securely.
- Reset and test: Reassemble, plug in, and test a low-temperature program first, then sauté. If E14 persists only on high heat, the sensor or control board calibration is likely faulty.
Note: Sensor calibration is typically fixed in firmware; if hardware is correct and E14 continues, the main PCB may need replacement.
