Possible Causes
Disconnected NTC sensor harness, Broken NTC sensor lead, Corroded connector on main PCB, Damaged wiring harness under inner pot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool completely before inspection.
- Remove inner pot: Take out the stainless or non-stick inner pot and inspect the central heating plate area. The temperature sensor (NTC) is usually a small metal disc or probe in the center or slightly off-center.
- Check for visible damage: Look for burnt marks, broken wires, or a loose sensor head. If the sensor is dislodged from its bracket, gently reseat it.
- Inspect wiring harness: Turn the cooker upside down on a soft cloth. Remove the bottom cover (usually a few screws) to access the wiring. Look for a two-wire cable from the NTC sensor to the main control board. Ensure the connector is firmly seated and free of corrosion.
- Clean connectors: If you see light oxidation, disconnect the plug (with power unplugged) and clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, then reconnect securely.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the bottom cover, place the inner pot back, plug in, and run a short program with water. If E2 reappears, the NTC sensor itself is likely defective and should be replaced.
Warning: Do not operate the cooker with the bottom cover removed. Exposed mains wiring presents a shock hazard.
