Possible Causes
Loose keypad ribbon cable, Damaged touch panel, Moisture behind control panel, Faulty display PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If liquid has spilled over the top or front, leave the cooker unplugged with the lid open for 24 hours to allow moisture to evaporate.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel cover (usually held by clips or screws from inside the lid area). Check that the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the main PCB is fully inserted and not kinked or torn.
- Clean contacts: If the ribbon connector is oxidized, gently clean with contact cleaner and reinsert firmly.
- Test buttons: After reassembly, plug in and test each button. If some keys remain unresponsive and E7 persists, the keypad membrane or display PCB likely needs replacement.
Warning: Do not use sharp tools on the touch surface; this can permanently damage the keypad.
