Possible Causes
Warped inner pot not making full contact, Weak heating element, Incorrect program selection, Faulty temperature sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when handling the hot inner pot.
- Verify program: Ensure you are using the correct program and time for the food type (e.g., rice vs. slow cook vs. pressure cook).
- Check inner pot base: Remove the pot and inspect its bottom. If it is warped or domed, it may not contact the heating plate evenly and should be replaced.
- Clean heating plate: Wipe the plate to remove any burnt residue or foreign objects that could create gaps.
- Test with water: Add 1 liter of water and run a boil or sauté program. Confirm that the water reaches a vigorous boil. If it only warms slightly, the heating element or sensor may be weak.
- Adjust recipes: As a temporary workaround, increase cooking time or use pressure mode for tougher foods until the heating issue is resolved.
