Safety first: Unplug the cooker before inspecting the lock mechanism.

• Clean lock area: Inspect the lock slot and hook for rice grains or dried food. Clean thoroughly with a brush.
• Check for wear: If the hook is rounded or the slot is enlarged, the parts may not engage securely and should be replaced.
• Test lock action: Close the lid and listen for a firm click. If the handle feels loose, the internal spring or linkage may be worn.
• Replace lock assembly: If cleaning does not restore proper locking, replace the lid lock assembly with a compatible OBH Nordica part.
