Pressure Not Building
Multicooker heats but never reaches pressure; steam constantly escapes from the lid area.

Possible Causes
Worn silicone lid gasket, Steam release valve stuck in venting position, Damaged float valve seal, Debris on lid sealing surface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands away from escaping steam. Turn off and unplug the cooker, then allow it to cool and depressurize.
- Check steam release knob: Ensure it is set to the sealing position for pressure cooking. Clean the knob and its seat to remove any food residue.
- Inspect lid gasket: Remove the gasket, wash it, and check for cracks or flattening. Replace if it no longer fits snugly in the lid groove.
- Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the top rim of the inner pot and the corresponding lid surface to remove oil or food that can prevent a tight seal.
- Examine float valve: Make sure the float pin moves freely and that its silicone cap is intact. Replace the cap if it is hardened or split.
- Test with water: Run a pressure cycle with only water to confirm that pressure now builds and steam leakage stops.
Warning: Never cover the steam vent with cloth or other objects to stop leaks; fix the sealing components instead.
