Possible Causes
Faulty Start button on keypad, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Firmware lock-up, Child lock function enabled
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before removing the control panel.
- Check for child lock: Some OBH Nordica models have a key lock feature. Look for a lock icon on the display and hold the designated button combination (often Keep Warm + Timer) for several seconds to unlock.
- Power cycle: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
- Test other buttons: If other keys respond but Start does not, the Start key contact on the membrane may be worn.
- Inspect keypad cable: Remove the front panel and check that the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the PCB is fully inserted and not damaged.
- Replace keypad assembly: If the Start button remains unresponsive, replacing the control panel/keypad assembly is usually required.
Note: Do not press the keypad with sharp objects; this accelerates wear.
