Possible Causes

Blocked condensation collector, Missing or misaligned condensation cup, Overfilled inner pot, Excessive foaming from starchy foods

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the cooker before cleaning. Allow it to cool.

  • Check fill level: Ensure food and liquid do not exceed the MAX line in the inner pot, especially for rice, pasta, or beans.
  • Inspect condensation collector: Locate the plastic condensation cup on the side or back of the OBH Nordica cooker. Remove it, empty any water, and clean thoroughly. Make sure the drain channel from the lid to the cup is not blocked.
  • Reinstall cup correctly: Slide or clip the condensation collector back into place until it is fully seated.
  • Reduce foaming: Rinse rice or grains before cooking and add a small amount of oil to reduce foam. Avoid using milk or very thick sauces on high pressure.
  • Wipe exterior: After each use, wipe the outer housing dry to prevent corrosion or staining.
