Excessive Foaming / Boil-Over Through Valve
Water or foam spurts out of the steam valve during cooking, making a mess on the countertop.

Possible Causes
Overfilled inner pot, Cooking very starchy or foamy foods without enough headspace, Clogged anti-block shield, Too rapid pressure build-up
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of hot liquid and steam. Unplug the cooker if boil-over is severe.
- Reduce fill level: For beans, porridge, or pasta, do not fill above half the pot volume when using pressure. Follow Oursson's maximum fill markings.
- Clean anti-block shield: After cooling, remove and clean the anti-block shield and valve to ensure foam can drain back into the pot.
- Use oil or fat: For some recipes, adding a small amount of oil can reduce foaming (check recipe guidelines).
- Use non-pressure mode: For extremely foamy dishes, consider using a non-pressure program with the lid slightly vented.
