Possible Causes
Broken NTC sensor lead, Unplugged sensor connector on PCB, Damaged wiring harness from heater plate to control board, Failed NTC sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the unit. Capacitors on the PCB may hold charge; avoid touching bare contacts.
- Reset attempt: Unplug the cooker for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and test. If H04 returns immediately, proceed to inspection.
- Access bottom sensor: Remove the bottom cover screws and carefully lift the cover. Locate the bottom NTC temperature sensor attached to or near the main heater plate.
- Check connectors: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly seated on the main control PCB. Reseat the connector to clear oxidation.
- Inspect wiring: Look for pinched, burnt, or broken wires along the harness from the heater plate to the PCB. Repair or replace the harness if damaged.
- Test sensor: Using a multimeter (if available), measure the resistance of the NTC sensor at room temperature and compare with Panasonic service specs. If open circuit or far out of range, replace the bottom NTC sensor.
