Possible Causes

Open-circuit main heating element, Blown thermal fuse on heater plate, Disconnected heater terminals, Burnt track or relay on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit. Heating circuits carry mains voltage; if you are not experienced with electrical work, contact a technician.

  • Check for obvious damage: Remove the bottom cover and inspect the main heater plate and wiring. Look for burnt spots, broken wires, or loose spade connectors.
  • Inspect thermal fuse: Many Panasonic multicookers have a thermal cutoff fuse attached to the heater plate or wiring. If it appears burnt or open (test with a multimeter), it must be replaced with the exact temperature and current rating.
  • Test heater element: Measure resistance across the heater terminals. An infinite reading indicates an open heater. Replace the main heater plate assembly if open.
  • Check PCB relay: Inspect the heater relay on the main PCB for burn marks or cracked solder joints. Reflow solder or replace the heater relay or entire main control PCB if damaged.
