Possible Causes
Broken lid NTC sensor lead, Unplugged lid sensor connector, Damaged flex cable through hinge, Failed lid NTC sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool. The lid area may be hot.
- Inspect lid cable: Open the lid and look at the hinge area where the lid sensor cable passes. If the cable is pinched, cut, or frayed, it must be replaced.
- Access lid sensor: Remove the inner lid and steam cap. Unscrew the outer lid cover (if serviceable) to access the lid NTC temperature sensor. Check that it is firmly attached and its connector is secure.
- Check continuity: With a multimeter, test continuity from the lid sensor to the PCB connector. An open circuit indicates a broken wire or sensor. Replace the lid NTC sensor assembly or lid harness as needed.
- Reassemble carefully: Ensure the cable is routed correctly through the hinge to avoid future pinching.
