U12 appears and the cooker beeps, usually when trying to start a pressure program.

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is not under pressure. Unplug before inspecting the lid.

• Check gasket: Remove the silicone lid gasket and inspect for deformation, hardening, or food stuck underneath. Clean and reinstall, ensuring it is seated evenly in the groove.
• Inspect rim: Wipe the pot rim and lid sealing surface. Even small grains of rice can prevent proper closure.
• Close firmly: Close and lock the lid again, applying even downward pressure. Listen for the click of the lid-closed switch.
• Sensor check: If U12 persists, the lid-closed sensor may be faulty or misaligned. Access the top housing and adjust or replace the sensor as needed.
