Possible Causes

Aged NTC sensors, Poor contact between pot and heater, Warped inner pot, Firmware calibration drift

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Allow the cooker to cool before internal inspection.

  • Check inner pot: Ensure you are using the original Panasonic inner pot. Replace if the base is warped or coating is heavily worn.
  • Clean contact surfaces: Wipe the heater plate and pot bottom to ensure good thermal contact.
  • Sensor replacement: If cooking is consistently off, replace the bottom NTC sensor and, on models that use it, the lid NTC sensor to restore accurate temperature feedback.
  • Firmware reset: Some models allow a factory reset via button sequence (see manual). Perform this to clear any stored offsets.
