Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse, Faulty power cord, Failed main control PCB, Faulty power switch or tact button
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before any disassembly. Mains voltage is present inside.
- Check outlet and cord: Test the wall outlet with another appliance. Inspect the Panasonic power cord for cuts or kinks. Replace if damaged.
- Test power inlet: Wiggle the cord at the cooker inlet while watching for flicker (if any lights appear). A loose inlet socket may need replacement.
- Inspect internal fuse: Remove the bottom cover and locate the glass or ceramic fuse on the PCB or near the power input. If blown, replace only with the same rating. If it blows again, there is a deeper fault.
- Check power switch: If your model has a mechanical power switch, test continuity. Replace the power switch if open.
- PCB replacement: If fuse and switch are good but the unit remains dead, the main control PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced.
