Possible Causes
Inner pot filled above MAX line, High-starch rice not rinsed, Wrong program selection, Blocked anti-block shield
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands away from hot foam and steam. Turn off the cooker if overflow is severe.
- Check fill level: Ensure rice and water do not exceed the MAX line for your program.
- Rinse rice: Rinse rice thoroughly until water runs mostly clear to reduce surface starch.
- Clean anti-block shield: Remove and clean the anti-block shield or steam cap to ensure proper steam flow.
- Select correct program: Use the dedicated Rice or Porridge program as recommended in the Panasonic manual.
