How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and let the cooker cool completely before cleaning.
- Deep clean heating plate: Remove any burnt-on food from the heating plate using a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not scratch the surface.
- Clean inner pot: Soak and clean the inner pot thoroughly. A burnt layer can cause hot spots.
- Use original pot: Only use the Philips-supplied inner pot. Third-party pots may not transfer heat evenly or sit correctly on the sensor.
- Test with water: Run a short boil test with only water. If the cooker still overheats or boils violently, the sensor or control board may need professional calibration or replacement.
