Foaming / Overfill During Pressure Release
Liquid or foam spurts out of the steam release valve when pressure is released.

Possible Causes
Pot overfilled beyond max line, Cooking foamy foods (pasta, beans, oatmeal) without proper liquid ratio, Clogged anti-block shield, Releasing pressure too quickly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from the steam release. Hot liquid can cause severe burns.
- 1. Allow natural release: For foamy foods, let pressure drop naturally for 10–15 minutes before using the steam release valve.
- 2. Reduce fill level: Do not fill above the recommended max line, and for foamy foods, stay below 1/2–2/3 full.
- 3. Clean anti-block shield: Remove and clean the anti-block shield and steam path to ensure foam does not clog the outlet.
- 4. Adjust recipes: Add a bit of oil or fat to reduce foaming and avoid thickening agents until after pressure cooking.
