Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation slots, Fan (if equipped) not running, Excessive buildup under heating plate, Failing thermal cutoff
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool completely. Do not cover ventilation openings during use.
- Check ventilation: Inspect the sides and bottom of the ProCook multicooker for dust, grease, or obstructions blocking air vents. Clean with a soft brush or vacuum.
- Clean under the pot: Remove the inner pot and gently wipe the heating plate and surrounding area to remove burnt-on spills that can cause hot spots.
- Avoid extended dry heating: In sauté/fry modes, avoid running the cooker empty on maximum heat for long periods. Add oil or food promptly.
- Internal inspection (advanced): If E7 persists, the internal thermal fuse or thermostat may be weak. Accessing and replacing these components requires opening the base and should be done by a technician.
