Possible Causes
Misaligned lid lock mechanism, Broken lid-closed microswitch, Worn lid locking pin, Debris preventing full lid closure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the cooker is unplugged when inspecting the lid mechanism.
- Check lid alignment: Open and close the lid, ensuring it is centered and the handle fully rotates into the locked position. Do not force it.
- Clean locking area: Use a small brush or toothpick to remove food particles from the latch slot and around the locking pin. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry.
- Inspect microswitch actuator: Look for the small plastic nub or metal tab that presses the lid switch. If broken or worn, the switch will not close. Replace the lid handle/lock assembly if damaged.
- Test switch (advanced): With the unit unplugged and top cover removed, locate the lid microswitch. Manually press it and check continuity with a multimeter. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Next steps: If the lid hardware is intact but the error persists, the control PCB input may be faulty and require replacement.
