Possible Causes
Weak heating element, Faulty temperature sensor reading too high, Poor contact between pot and heater plate, Incorrect program or altitude effects
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution when opening the lid after cooking; hot steam may escape.
- Verify program and settings: Ensure you are using the correct program and time for the food type. Increase cooking time if necessary, especially at high altitudes.
- Check pot contact: Remove the pot and inspect the heater plate for debris. Clean and ensure the pot bottom is flat and undamaged.
- Water test: Run a boiling test with 1 liter of water on a high-heat program. If the water does not reach a vigorous boil, the heater or sensor may be faulty.
- Inspect heater (advanced): Test the heating element resistance with a multimeter. A significantly higher resistance than specified can indicate a weak element that should be replaced.
- Sensor/PCB replacement: If the heater is good but temperatures remain low, the NTC sensor or control PCB may be misreading temperature and should be replaced.
