Possible Causes

Blown mains fuse in plug or internal, Faulty power cord, Failed main control PCB power supply, Defective power switch or thermal fuse open

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before opening any covers. Do not bypass safety devices.

  • Check outlet and plug: Test the wall outlet with another appliance. Inspect the ProfiCook plug and cord for cuts or burns.
  • External fuse (if fitted): Some regions use fused plugs. Check and replace the plug fuse with the correct rating if blown.
  • Internal fuse check (advanced): Remove the bottom cover. Locate the glass or ceramic fuse on the control PCB. Test with a multimeter and replace with the same type and rating if open.
  • Inspect thermal fuse: Look for a small cylindrical thermal fuse attached to the heater wiring. If open (no continuity), replace with an identical temperature-rated part.
  • Board failure: If fuses and cord are good but there is still no power, the control PCB's power supply section is likely defective and the board should be replaced.
