Possible Causes

Faulty Start button or touch sensor, Child lock function enabled, Control PCB input failure, Loose keypad ribbon cable

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug before opening the control panel.

  • Check child lock: Refer to the ProfiCook manual for child lock instructions. Usually holding a specific button combination for a few seconds toggles the lock. Disable it and try again.
  • Try multiple buttons: If other buttons also do not respond, the keypad or touch panel may be faulty.
  • Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the control panel cover and reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad/touch board and the main PCB.
  • Clean panel surface: For capacitive touch models, clean the panel with a soft cloth to remove grease that can interfere with touch detection.
  • Replacement: If the Start button alone is dead or the touch panel remains unresponsive, replace the keypad/touch PCB assembly.
