Possible Causes
Worn membrane switch contacts, Damaged touch sensor traces, Localized liquid ingress, Faulty keypad ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before working on the control panel.
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry. Sticky residue can interfere with button travel.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the panel for cracks or dents near the non-responsive buttons.
- Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Open the control panel and check the keypad ribbon cable for kinks or damage. Reseat it on the PCB.
- Test keypad: If only a group of buttons on one trace fails, the keypad membrane or touch PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
- Replacement: Install a new keypad or touch control panel assembly compatible with your ProfiCook model.
