Possible Causes
Damaged float valve silicone cap, Food residue preventing float from sealing, Worn float valve seat, Misaligned float valve pin
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to depressurize naturally and cool before working on the float valve.
- Disassemble float valve: Remove the small cap or nut on top of the float valve. Take out the float pin and silicone cap.
- Clean components: Wash the float pin, cap, and valve seat area with warm soapy water. Remove any starch or food residue.
- Inspect silicone cap: Check for cracks, tears, or deformation. Replace with a ProfiCook-compatible float valve cap if damaged.
- Reassemble correctly: Reinstall the silicone cap on the float pin, insert from inside the lid, and secure with the top cap or nut. Ensure the float moves freely.
- Test under pressure: Run a water-only pressure test to confirm that the float seals and no steam escapes from its opening.
