Safety first: Ensure the cooker is not under pressure before manipulating the lid.

• Clean sealing surfaces: Wipe the lid gasket and rim of the inner pot to remove food residues that may prevent full closure.
• Check latch operation: Open and close the lid several times, listening for a clear click from the latch. If the latch feels loose or does not engage, inspect for broken plastic parts.
• Inspect lid sensor: Access the lid sensor or microswitch near the latch. Verify that it is actuated when the lid is fully closed. Adjust its position if necessary.
• Replace faulty parts: If the sensor or latch is damaged, replace the lid lock assembly with a compatible Redmond spare.
