Possible Causes
Open-circuit heating element under inner pot, Burnt heater connector, Failed heater triac/relay on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains and allow the unit to cool.
- Test with water: Start a high-heat program with a cup of water. If after 10–15 minutes the water is still cold and no warmth is felt on the outer body, proceed to internal checks.
- Access heater: Remove the bottom cover to expose the circular heating element and its connectors.
- Measure heater resistance: Disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance. An open circuit (infinite resistance) indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- Inspect connectors: Tighten or replace any burnt or loose spade connectors on the heater.
- Check control device: If the heater tests good, the triac or relay on the PCB may not be switching. This typically requires PCB repair or replacement by a technician.
