Water or foam spurts out of the steam valve during cooking; food splatters on the lid.

Safety first: Allow pressure to drop naturally before opening the lid.

• Reduce fill level: For foamy foods, do not exceed half the pot capacity and add a small amount of oil to reduce foaming.
• Clean anti-block shield: Remove the metal or plastic anti-block shield from under the lid and clean all holes and surfaces.
• Clean steam valve: Disassemble and wash the steam release valve.
