Possible Causes

Partially failed main heating element, Loose heating element wiring, Faulty triac or relay on control PCB, Incorrect temperature sensing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug and allow the cooker to cool before opening the base.

Steps:

  • Check pot contact: Ensure the inner pot sits flat on the heating plate. A warped pot can reduce heat transfer.
  • Inspect wiring: Remove the bottom cover and inspect the two or three heavy wires going to the main heating element ring. Tighten any loose spade connectors and look for burn marks.
  • Measure element resistance (advanced): Disconnect the element leads and measure resistance with a multimeter. Compare to typical values (often 20–60 Ω depending on wattage). An open or very high reading indicates a failed element.
  • Check for burnt smell: A burnt smell near the element or relay suggests component failure on the control PCB.

Repair: Replace the main heating element ring if open or damaged. If the element is fine but no power is delivered, the control PCB or its relay/triac likely needs replacement.
