Persistent bad odour from inside the cooker or lid, even after washing.

Possible Causes
Absorbed food smells in silicone sealing ring, Residue trapped in lid crevices, Dirty steam release and float valves, Contaminated condensation collector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
Steps:
- Deep clean lid: Remove the sealing ring, steam release valve, float valve, and anti‑block shield. Wash all parts in warm soapy water and rinse well.
- Clean condensation collector: Remove and wash the condensation cup. Clean the channel leading to it.
- Deodorize sealing ring: Soak the silicone ring in a solution of warm water and baking soda (about 4 tablespoons per litre) for several hours, then rinse and dry.
- Air out: Store the cooker with the lid inverted or slightly open to allow airflow.
Repair: If odours persist, replace the silicone sealing ring, as silicone can permanently absorb strong smells.
