Possible Causes
Lid not locked, Steam release valve in wrong position, Inner pot missing, Lid microswitch misaligned
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and unplugged before mechanical adjustments.
- Check inner pot: Confirm the pot is installed correctly; some models will not start without it.
- Verify lid and valve: Close the lid fully and set the steam release valve to the correct position for the selected program.
- Inspect lid switch: If the alarm persists, the lid microswitch may not be actuated. Adjust the lid alignment or inspect the switch as described for E1.
Once all safety interlocks are satisfied, the beeping should stop and the cooker should start normally.
