Possible Causes
Worn touch membrane, Moisture under control panel, Loose ribbon cable, Cracked PCB traces at keypad connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before opening the control panel.
- Dry out moisture: If the panel was recently cleaned or exposed to steam, leave the unit in a warm, dry place for 24 hours and try again.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Access the control panel and disconnect/reconnect the ribbon cable between the keypad and main PCB.
- Inspect panel surface: Look for bubbles, cracks, or delamination on the touch surface. Physical damage usually requires replacement.
- Test specific keys: With the unit reassembled and powered, test each key. If entire rows or columns fail, the ribbon or connector is suspect; if random keys fail, the membrane is likely worn.
Replace the touch control panel assembly if cleaning and reseating do not restore full function.
