Possible Causes

Open or shorted lid NTC sensor, Unplugged lid sensor connector, Damaged flex cable in lid hinge, Sensor dislodged from lid metal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is cool.

  • Access lid sensor: Open the lid and locate the inner metal plate. The lid NTC sensor is usually behind this plate or near the steam outlet, with wires running through the hinge.
  • Remove inner lid plate: Unscrew the inner lid panel to expose the sensor. Carefully pull it away to avoid damaging the gasket.
  • Inspect sensor and wiring: Check that the small sensor probe is firmly attached to the lid metal and that its wires are intact. Look for breaks where the cable passes through the hinge.
  • Check connector: Remove the top housing cover and locate the lid sensor connector on the PCB. Ensure it is fully seated.
  • Test sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature; it should be in a similar range to the bottom NTC. Replace if open or shorted.

Reattach the inner lid plate securely to maintain proper heat transfer. Replace the lid NTC sensor if readings are abnormal or wiring is damaged.
