Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before opening the housing.
- Access control panel: Remove screws securing the front or top housing to expose the back of the control panel.
- Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon cable from the touch panel to the main PCB. Gently disconnect and reconnect it to clean the contacts. Ensure it is fully inserted and locked.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks, kinks, or burn marks on the ribbon. Any visible damage usually requires replacement of the touch panel assembly.
- Clean contacts: If accessible, lightly clean the connector contacts with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry before reassembly.
If E9 persists after reseating and cleaning, the touch panel or the control PCB interface circuitry may be faulty. Replace the touch panel first; if the issue remains, replace the main control PCB.
