Safety first: Unplug and allow the cooker to cool completely before opening the base.

Confirm symptom: Start a short program with water and check after 5–10 minutes. If the water is still cold, proceed with checks.
Access base: Remove the bottom cover to expose the heating plate and wiring.
Check connections: Ensure heater terminals are firmly connected and not oxidized. Tighten or clean as needed.
Test thermal fuse: Locate the inline thermal fuse on the heater circuit and test for continuity. Replace if open.
Measure heater resistance: Disconnect the heater leads and measure resistance. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element that must be replaced.

If heater and fuse are good, the issue is likely with the heater relay or control PCB. Replacing the main control board is typically required.
