Possible Causes

Blocked secondary safety valve in lid, Deformed lid gasket channel causing improper venting, Faulty overpressure switch or sensor, Excessive food volume blocking steam path

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Do not force the lid open if the cooker may still be under pressure. Allow full cooling and natural pressure release.

  • Inspect safety valve: Locate the secondary safety valve (often a small metal plug or spring-loaded device on the lid). Ensure it is not blocked by dried food or starch. Clean thoroughly.
  • Check fill level: Confirm you are not exceeding the maximum fill line, especially for beans, rice, or foamy foods. Overfilling can block steam paths and trigger safety errors.
  • Clean steam path: Remove and clean the steam release valve, float valve, and anti-block shield. Ensure all holes are clear.
  • Test with water only: After cleaning, run a short pressure cycle with only water to verify that E10 does not recur.

If E10 persists with proper filling and a clean lid assembly, the overpressure sensor or safety switch may be faulty and should be inspected by a professional.
