- Inspect lid connection: On models with a removable lid harness, check the multi-pin connector where the lid wiring plugs into the body. Ensure it is fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Check flex cable: If your Salton model uses a flexible ribbon or cable between lid and body, inspect for kinks, cuts, or broken conductors. Replace if visibly damaged.
- Access the pressure sensor: Remove the inner lid panel (screws on the underside of the lid) to locate the small pressure sensor module, usually near the steam path. Confirm its connector is firmly attached.
- Re-seat connectors: Unplug and replug the sensor connector to improve contact. Do not pull on the wires; grip the plastic housing.
