Possible Causes
Unstable mains voltage or loose power cord connection, Failing low-voltage power supply on main PCB, Loose internal power connector between board sections, Shorting component on display or keypad board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker before opening. Avoid using the unit on damaged or overloaded outlets.
- Check external power: Plug the multicooker directly into a known-good wall outlet (no power strips). Avoid sharing with high-load appliances.
- Inspect power cord: Examine the Salton power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
- Internal connector check: Remove the bottom or side cover to access the main PCB. Ensure all multi-pin connectors are firmly seated, especially those carrying AC input and low-voltage output to the display/keypad.
- Look for bulged capacitors: On the main PCB, inspect electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section. Bulging tops or leakage indicate failure and require board repair or replacement.
If E9 continues after verifying power and connections, the main control board likely needs replacement by a service technician.
