Display shows U01 and cooker will not start; often associated with lid or pot detection on some Salton models.

Safety: Ensure the cooker is unplugged when inspecting the heating plate.

• Reseat the inner pot: Remove the pot, wipe the bottom and the heating plate clean and dry, then place the pot back, rotating slightly to ensure full contact.
• Use original pot: Only use the Salton inner pot designed for your model. Third-party or mismatched pots may not trigger the pot detection sensor correctly.
• Check for warping: Place the pot on a flat countertop and see if it rocks. If the base is warped, replace the pot.
• Inspect sensor area: Look for a small spring-loaded sensor or weight sensor under the heating plate. Ensure it is not jammed by debris.

If U01 persists with the correct pot and clean contacts, the pot detection sensor or associated circuitry may be faulty and require service.
