Possible Causes
Open-circuit main heating element under inner pot, Failed triac or relay on main PCB, Open thermal fuse in heating circuit, Loose spade connectors on heating plate terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before opening the base.
- Confirm symptom: Start a high-heat program (e.g., sauté) and feel (without touching metal) if any warmth develops under the cooker after a few minutes. If completely cold, proceed with checks.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the bottom cover and check the two main wires going to the heating plate. Ensure spade connectors are tight and not burnt.
- Test heating element: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the heating element terminals. A typical value is between 20–60 Ω. Infinite resistance indicates a broken element that must be replaced.
- Check thermal fuse: Locate any inline thermal fuse attached to the heating plate or wiring. Test for continuity; replace if open with the same temperature and current rating.
If the heating element and thermal fuse are good, the control board's triac or relay is likely faulty and the main PCB should be replaced.
